YK-11 je syntetika, steroidný selektívny modulátor androgénneho receptora (SARM). Je to génovo selektívny čiastočný agonista androgénneho receptora (AR) a neindukuje fyzickú interakciu medzi NTD/AF1 a LBD/AF2 (známa ako N/C interakcia), ktorý je potrebný na úplnú transaktiváciu AR. Liečivo má anabolickú aktivitu in vitro v myoblastoch C2C12 a vykazuje väčšiu účinnosť ako dihydrotestosterón (DHT) v tejto súvislosti.
