AS-031 is a soluble fusion protein that has been shown to increase muscle mass and strength in the study. AS-031 is being studied as a metabolic disease, children with kidney tumors, cardiovascular abnormalities, age-related muscle loss and cancer treatment-related muscle loss and neuromuscular disease treatment. AS-031 is a biotherapeutic agent based on activin receptor type IIB (ActRIIB). The molecule binds to ActRIIB receptors to inhibit signaling and increases muscle mass and intensity.
