N-Acetyl Semax is drug produced and prescribed mostly in Russia and Ukraine for a broad range of conditions but predominantly for its purported nootropic, neuroprotective, and neurogenic/neurorestorative properties. It is a heptapeptide, synthetic analog of a fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), ACTH (4-10), of the following structure: Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro. Semax has not been evaluated by the U.S. FDA. It is unscheduled in the U.S. and legal to import by private citizens for personal use.
N-Acetyl Semax is a nootropic stimulant of the central nervous system. It has a wide range of actions: it boosts neuroplasticity and increases glutamatergic and cholinergic activity thus improving memory, focus, mental and physical performance; it helps to recover after ischemic stroke and other head traumas; it increases dopamine and serotonin levels and as a result reducing depression, anxiety and sleep disorders; it is also possible to use Semax to prevent signs of Alzheimer's and other degenerative cognitive disorders due to aging. Semax lacks the negative side effects.
Because Semax is so potent, only small doses are needed to achieve the desired results. In most cases, 0.5-1.0 milligrams per day are all the average users will need.In most cases, this is equivalent to one or two sprays from the nasal applicator. Semax does not need to be taken with food, nor do you need to adjust the dosage to account for sex or size differences.
What one will have to make note of, however, are the different variants of Semax concentration. The 0.1% concentrations are less powerful than the 1% solutions (which are normally reserved for stroke victims or individuals with serious medical conditions). For cognitive enhancement, the lowered concentrations should work adequately.
